As a constantly growing business, PlainsCapital Bank needed a site that was not only easy to update for its internal teams, but one that was flexible enough to add new locations for branches and ATMs whenever needed.
Accounting for Everything
When a new client came to us needing all-new branding, a new website with greater flexibility and functionality, but with a short and strict timeline, what could we do? We did what we always do, of course. We rolled up our collective sleeves and sat our team down with our new clients from PlainsCapital Bank to determine the direction of the site and what flexibility and control would be needed to make the site a great fit.
As a constantly growing business, PlainsCapital Bank needed a site that was not only easy to update for its internal teams, but one that was flexible enough to add new locations for branches and ATMs whenever needed. Additionally, because of its wide variety of offerings, the client needed a way to rotate featured accents on the website to promote the various parts of its business.
The existing site was built on a platform that made updating the site extremely cumbersome and time-consuming, making it a problem for its small marketing staff to maintain easily. After much consideration, the decision was to move forward with the Umbraco content management system (CMS) based on its flexibility and scalability for the client’s needs. In addition to the flexibility needed for locations and featured offerings, the client had multiple integrations with third-party technologies that needed to be accounted for in the new structure. Our development team was able to collaborate with the business teams to ensure a seamless integration and launch of the new site without any downtime for customers.
On the Money
To make sure we were able to deliver on the client’s tight timeline, we were able to cycle multiple members of the development team through the project to pinpoint and execute the areas of the site for which they were best suited. Working in conjunction with the creative, client, and user experience teams, the development team was able to pivot as each tweak to the design came along – even incorporating background videos produced by our own internal motion graphics team. These videos added a motion and depth to the new design that welcomed users to the site in a totally fresh way, regardless of their device.
Response to the site has been tremendous, both from users and internally. The new site was a breath of fresh air for our client. It’s fully responsive and optimized, so it makes accessing everything PlainsCapital Bank has to offer easy on desktop, tablet, and any mobile device – providing a great experience for its customers.
